In the last couple of days I have been seeing the comments of some individuals. Who one would think might be educated so they can do the jobs that they do. However, the comments made by NBC Sportscaster Bob Costas and Columnist Jason Whitlock, has proven once again that education has nothing to do with intelligence.
These two individuals are throwing themselves into the media spotlight by making what I would call outlandish comments on an incident involving a murder – suicide. Stating that if a gun was not present that the two " victims " would not be dead right now. Of course I am talking about the incident involving Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins.
Now someone please tell me what crystal ball are they looking into. Or maybe what Physic they went to see. Now if a person wants to go kill themselves and take someone else with them, it does not matter if there is a gun involved or not. If someone decides to kill someone else with a Throw pillow. No matter how low the odds are. They are going to attempt it.
First off, yes there are two victims. The first one being Ms. Perkins and the other one being the baby that was left behind in this tragic incident. Secondly it wouldn’t have mattered if a gun was there or not, the outcome might have been the same anyways.
There is no need to force an antigun agenda on us during a football game or while reading a sports page. Both individuals making the comments need to talk about the subject they are paid to talk about, and not a political attempt at a gun control.
Time and time again it has been proven that gun control does not work. The only thing it does do is that it disarms the lawful gun owners in this country. The criminals can still get the guns.
I personally believe that if you are going to push your agenda on the public at least let the people involved finish mourning before you go for your 15 minutes of fame.
