Senators Questions NSA Over Illegal Gun Registry

In a letter to the NSA, 26 United States senators have demanded information about exactly what types of information and records the NSA is keeping on American citizens.
Specifically, in one part of the letter, the senators ask about the collection of firearms sale records. Gun dealers are required to keep records of all gun sales, and all of these records eventually end up in the hands of the ATF whenever a gun store closes or changes hands.
