First let me tell everyone that our heart goes out to all the victims and there families. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who are effected by this tragedy. What happened will be talked about and annualized for years. Couple that with the want to blame somebody or in this case like a lot of shooting cases something.
It will be real easy to blame the gun, or its accessories. However in this situation the one to blame is the shooter, his Mental illness, and not the rifles he had. Now, it is beside me how someone can get a hold of guns with a mental illness. Especially in a state that has gun control laws. I know from first hand experience that like in most New England states a person can't even buy pepper spray with out a permit.
This tragedy would have occurred even with gun bans in place. The criminals do not care if the law says you are not aloud to have a spit ball thrower. The criminal will get the just to spite the law. Same thing goes with firearms.
What needs to be done is we all need to talk to our kids about what happened. We need to help them understand that bad things happen. We also need to help them cope with the incident. We also need to help the victims families deal with the pain that losing a loved one brings.

I don't want to go to much more on this incident till the whole case has been completely investigated. That plus I do not want to bring more attention to the shooter. S, when there is more complete information on the situation I will blog more about it.
